Kerjaya Prospek Group Bhd said the Court of Appeal has dismissed two appeals brought by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Kerjaya Prospek (M) Sdn Bhd (KPM), in relation to an adjudication decision involving Apple 99 Development Sdn Bhd.
The construction group said the Court of Appeal delivered its decision on Sept 8, 2026, declining to allow both appeals.
As a result, KPM was ordered to pay RM20,000 in costs to Apple 99 for each appeal, amounting to RM40,000 in total.
Apple 99 is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yong Tai Bhd.
The appeals were linked to an adjudication decision dated May 9, 2025 under the Construction Industry Payment and Adjudication Act 2012 (CIPAA).
Kerjaya Prospek stressed that the dismissal of the appeals does not affect the separate civil suit filed by KPM against Apple 99 at the High Court of Malaya in Shah Alam.
The trial for that suit remains scheduled for Dec 15, 16, 17, 18 and 21, 2026, and will proceed as planned.
The dispute stems from a writ of summons and statement of claim filed by KPM against Apple 99, with Kerjaya Prospek having issued several earlier updates on the matter since August 2024.
