Rolex is adding a new complication to its 2026 collection with the Perpetual Padellone, a watch that combines an annual calendar with a moonphase display.
At the centre of the watch is its calendar mechanism. It automatically accounts for the different lengths of 30- and 31-day months, leaving just one manual adjustment each year when February ends.
The calendar also changes instantaneously. At midnight, the day, date and month advance together in a fraction of a second. The day and month appear in two apertures at 12 o’clock, while a blue hand with a crescent moon points to the date around the dial edge.
Powering the watch is Rolex’s Calibre 7190, which runs at 5 Hz. Rolex says the movement is the subject of 30 patent applications. Two of those are exclusive to the Perpetual Padellone.
The calendar uses Rolex’s patented Haplos system to account for the different lengths of the months. The moonphase display tracks the lunar cycle and is integrated into the same dial layout.
The watch is available with a Settimo bracelet in alligator leather or an alligator leather strap. Currently, the company has not listed a retail price in the information provided.
