ES Sunlogy Unit Bags RM15 Million Electrical Works Contract

ES Sunlogy Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary Savelite Engineering Sdn Bhd has secured a RM15.63 million subcontract to undertake electrical works for a serviced apartment development in Johor Bahru.

Savelite accepted the letter of appointment on Sept 18 from JY Consult PLT, acting on behalf of developer Parkland Southern Sdn Bhd.

The contract covers the supply, delivery, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of electrical, telephone and extra-low-voltage services for Phase 2 of a serviced apartment development in Johor.

The development comprises a 36-storey block with two towers and 1,078 serviced apartment units, together with a seven-storey podium incorporating parking facilities, residential units and recreational amenities.

Savelite will enter into a nominated subcontract with TSB Builders Sdn Bhd, the project’s main contractor, under the PAM Sub-Contract 2006 framework.

The scope also includes securing the necessary operating approvals from the relevant authorities in accordance with the main contractor’s work programme.

ES Sunlogy said the RM15.63 million contract sum is fixed, with Savelite responsible for costs including transportation, freight, insurance, payroll, taxes, import duties and related charges.

The commencement and completion dates for the works will follow the main contractor’s project schedule.

ES Sunlogy said the contract is expected to contribute positively to the group’s net assets per share, earnings per share and gearing over the duration of the works.

The contract will not affect the company’s share capital or substantial shareholdings.
