Malaysia is set to showcase its capabilities in the digital sector on the global stage as the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) leads an Export Acceleration Mission (EAM) comprising 11 Malaysian technology and digital enterprises to the 5th Global Digital Trade Expo (GDTE) in Hangzhou, China, from 21 to 25 September 2026.
MATRADE said the mission aims to strengthen Malaysia’s trade presence in China’s rapidly growing digital ecosystem and accelerate cross-border collaboration in frontier technology sectors. The Malaysia Pavilion will serve as a hub for business matchmaking, technical exchange, and market expansion.
The Malaysian delegation will consist of a mix of frontier technologies designed to accelerate enterprise digital transformation. Offerings span AI data integration and customer automation, industrial IoT for energy and utilities, AI-enabled robotics, high-performance cloud computing (IaaS), PropTech ecosystems, cross-border trade platforms, Artificial Intelligence Generated Content media tools, and smart health applications.
