Pandora has teamed up with make-up artist Pat McGrath on a new jewellery collection that brings the visual language of beauty into charms and rings.
Launching this autumn, the collection features 17 pieces built around bold colour, glossy textures and makeup-inspired details. Saturated reds and purples dominate, while a glossy lips motif appears across statement rings and charms. Makeup miniatures also feature throughout the collection.
McGrath said the collaboration began with colour, which has been central to her work throughout her career. She developed the collection with Pandora Creative Directors Francesco Terzo and A. Filippo Ficarelli, using colour and transformation as starting points.
The pieces draw directly from beauty references including pigment, gloss, crystals, texture and light. Rather than following a single styling approach, the collection is designed to work as individual charms or as layered combinations.
For McGrath, the link between make-up and jewellery comes down to self-expression. Both can be used to change an overall look without changing the person wearing them, she said.
The collaboration also explores the difference between the two. Make-up is temporary, while jewellery can be kept and worn over time, collecting memories along the way.
The Pandora x Pat McGrath collection launches on October 8 through Pandora’s UK website and selected stores. Prices range from £35 to £190.
