Only one area in Malaysia recorded an unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) reading as of Tuesday morning, with Serian in Sarawak registering a reading of 147.
Data from the Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS) showed the Serian District Police Headquarters (IPD) was the only monitoring station in the unhealthy category.
An API reading between 101 and 200 is classified as unhealthy and can affect sensitive groups including children, older people and those with respiratory conditions.
Members of the public in affected areas are advised to reduce outdoor activities and wear face masks when outdoors to limit exposure to air pollution.
The latest API readings are available through APIMS, which is managed by the Department of Environment.
