Kelington Group Bhd has secured a new contract worth approximately RM172 million for engineering and early-stage infrastructure works at an advanced data storage manufacturing facility in Kuching, Sarawak.
The company said its wholly-owned subsidiary accepted the contract from a manufacturing company located at the Sama Jaya Free Industrial Zone.
The scope covers site development, foundation systems and critical high-voltage power infrastructure for the customer’s expansion project in Sarawak.
Work is expected to commence immediately and be completed by August 2027.
Kelington said its unit had previously secured contracts and purchase orders worth about RM111 million from the same customer between June and September 2026, mainly for the design and construction of advanced data storage manufacturing and related infrastructure facilities.
With the latest award, the aggregate value of contracts and purchase orders secured from the customer for the Kuching project now stands at approximately RM283 million.
The group added that KTSB expects to secure further contracts from the customer covering additional scopes of work in the coming weeks.
