Fares for KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit will increase from Jan 1, 2027, with the standard one-way adult fare between KL Sentral and KLIA Terminals 1 and 2 rising to RM65 from RM55.
Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) said the fare revision followed the last review in 2016 and was driven by higher operating and maintenance costs under its concession agreement with the Government.
The revised adult one-way fare from KL Sentral will be RM7.70 to Bandar Tasik Selatan, RM16.60 to Putrajaya and Cyberjaya and RM21.60 to Salak Tinggi.
The fare between KL Sentral and KLIA will be RM118 for a return adult ticket, while the one-way child fare for those aged six to 15 will be RM29. Children below six will continue to travel for free.
ERL CEO Datin Noormah Mohd Noor said the adjustment reflected the costs of operating and maintaining the airport rail service while supporting future improvements.
“The fare adjustment will support our efforts to maintain high service standards and invest in improvements to enhance the passenger experience, and we remain committed to providing the fastest and most reliable connectivity between KL Sentral and KLIA,” she said.
ERL also said it was working with business partners to explore exclusive ticket discounts of up to 30% from January 2027, with further details to be announced once arrangements are finalised.
The company said more than 141 million passengers have used its services since operations began, with 2026 marking the 24th anniversary of the KLIA rail link.
