Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) will broadcast the 2026 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix live from the Sepang International Circuit, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said.
Anwar announced the move in a post on X today, saying the live broadcast would allow Malaysians across the country to follow the Formula 1 race.
“Berita gembira buat seluruh rakyat Malaysia! RTM akan menyiarkan Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix di Malaysia 2026 secara langsung agar kemeriahan perlumbaan ini dapat dinikmati bersama,” he said.
“I hope the live broadcast gives people across the country the opportunity to experience the excitement of a world-class race from the Sepang International Circuit,” he added.
The 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix is being held at Sepang this weekend as part of a revised Formula 1 calendar.
The race weekend runs from Oct 2 to Oct 4, with the main race scheduled for Sunday.
