Samaiden Secures Large Scale Solar Contract From YTL

Samaiden Group Bhd has secured contracts from Syarikat Pembenaan Yeoh Tiong Lay Sdn Bhd to undertake engineering, construction, commissioning and solar component supply works for a 99.99MWac large-scale solar photovoltaic project under Malaysia’s LSS5+ programme.

The company said its wholly-owned subsidiary, Samaiden Sdn Bhd, entered into a Works Contract and a Contract for Supply of Solar Components with YTLSB on Oct 2.

YTLSB is the main contractor for the project, which was among the large-scale solar projects approved by the Energy Commission in September 2025 under the LSS5+ programme.

Samaiden’s scope includes the supply and delivery of materials, design, engineering, construction, testing and completion of the 99.99MWac solar energy generating facility.

The contract value was not disclosed due to confidentiality restrictions.

Works will commence upon the issuance of a Notice to Proceed in accordance with the contract terms.

Samaiden said the contracts are expected to contribute positively to the group’s future earnings over their duration.

The company added that the contracts are not subject to shareholder or regulatory approval and are not expected to materially affect its share capital or shareholding structure.
