Honda Malaysia has officially rolled out the new City Hatchback from its Melaka manufacturing plant, signalling the refreshed model’s imminent introduction to the Malaysian market.
Honda Malaysia Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Narushi Yazaki said the rollout reflects the company’s continued focus on manufacturing excellence, innovation and sustainable growth in Malaysia.
Since its Malaysian debut in 2021, the City Hatchback has recorded cumulative sales of more than 51,000 units, underscoring the model’s popularity in the local market.
The refreshed model will feature updated styling, enhanced connectivity and a range of technologies while retaining Honda’s ULTRA Seats, which allow multiple seating and cargo configurations.
The company said it currently works with approximately 500 local suppliers, supporting domestic manufacturing and supply-chain development.
