EGH International Bhd’s initial public offering (IPO) has drawn a 2.63 times subscription rate for the 50 million shares offered to the Malaysian public, ahead of its planned listing on Bursa Malaysia’s ACE Market.
Malaysian Issuing House Sdn Bhd said a total of 3,101 applications for 131.33 million shares were received from Malaysian investors.
For the Bumiputera portion, 1,048 applications were received for 40.98 million shares, representing a subscription rate of 1.64 times.
The other Malaysian public portion attracted 2,053 applications for 90.35 million shares, translating into a stronger subscription rate of 3.61 times.
EGH International’s IPO comprises up to 360 million shares at 16 sen each, consisting of a public issue of 240 million new shares and an offer for sale of up to 120 million existing shares.
Of the IPO shares, 80 million are allocated under the retail offering, comprising 50 million shares for the Malaysian public and 30 million shares for eligible directors, employees and persons who contributed to the group’s success.
The 30 million shares reserved for eligible persons were fully subscribed.
Meanwhile, the institutional offering of up to 280 million shares to institutional and selected investors has been fully placed out.
Berjaya Securities Sdn Bhd is the principal adviser, sponsor, sole underwriter and sole placement agent for the IPO.
Notices of allotment are expected to be mailed to successful applicants by Oct 15, 2026.
