Multimedia University or MMU has conferred 13 awards for the Permata Awards including the President’s Award and the highest accolade, the Chancellor’s Award in its 22nd Convocation Ceremony.
The award recipients are among the 3,584 graduands of Class 2021 who receive their scrolls from MMU Cyberjaya campus.
Commenting on the graduates’ achievement, MMU President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd. Su’ud said it has signified the success of the university in continuously producing more experts for the industry. “Our responsibility together with MMU alumni worldwide is to boost the growth of this university to a higher reputation,” he said
Chancellor, Tun Dato’ Seri Zaki Tun Azmi conferred the awards and scrolls during the first day of the ceremony while MMU’s Pro-Chancellor, Academician Prof. Tan Sri Dr. Zakri Abdul Hamid presented the scrolls on the second day of the ceremonies.
In a three-day ceremony, a total of 3,584 graduands were graduated, comprising 2,143 Bachelor’s Degree, 1,295 Diploma, 108 Master’s Degree, and 38 Ph.D. recipients. The graduating students were from the fields of Engineering, Computing and Informatics, Management and Business, Law, Life Science, Strategic Communications, Creative Multimedia, and Cinematic Arts.
The event is the second convocation this year after the 21st Convocation Ceremony which celebrated 2,839 graduates of class 2020.
