Ahmed Fairuz Resigns As Pos Malaysia’s Director

Ahmed Fairuz Abdul Aziz had resigned from his post as independent and non-executive director of Pos Malaysia Berhad effective Nov 1 due to other commitments.

In a Bursa listing today (Nov 1), the company announced his resignation along with change in the composition of the company’s Board Tender Committee.

Ahmed Fairuz, 45, is currently KUB Malaysia Bhd group managing director and executive director and is also on the board of KUB Development Bhd.

He is also reportedly a member of Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and Member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Previously, he held the position of Naza Group of Companies head finance and senior manager, and held managerial post at CIMB Investment Bank Bhd.

He was also associate at Arthur Anderson & Co and senior associate at Ernst & Young (Malaysia).

Following the resignation of Ahmed Fairuz Abdul Aziz as a member of the Board, he also ceases to be a member of the Board Tender Committee (BTC) of Pos Malaysia.

The revised composition of the board saw Datuk Dr Mohd Ali Mohamad Nor, an independent non-executive director as the committee chairman and Ahmad Suhaimi Endut, a non-independent non-executive director, as member of the committee.
