Infomina Secures RM49.39 Million Contract To Service NRD

Infomina Bhd has secured a three-year contract worth around RM49.39 million from the Home Ministry to provide maintenance, upgrades and technical support services to the core business system of the National Registration Department (NRD).

The group said the contract that starts from Nov 1, entails the group playing a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of the JPN’s critical core business systems, such as Business Utama ICT.

“Our services will include the enhancement, upgrades, and/or new applications development services, that encompass requirements study, applications and system testing, technical support, and the necessary nationwide rollout of the relevant applications,” it said in a statement today (Nov 3).

Additionally, the technology solutions provider said it will coordinate with JPN in the strategic rollout of new functional requirement in JPN core national registration system, extending its benefits to JPN branches across various states, it added.

It said that this contract underscores Infomina’s commitment in providing innovative IT solutions that support the core functions of government departments and agencies, enhance the efficiency of intergovernmental operations and data sharing.

“Subsequently, improving public services to the citizens of Malaysia, ensuring a more streamlined and accessible experience for individuals seeking essential services provided by JPN,” Infomina added.

NRD, which is under the purview of the Home Ministry, managed registrations of birth, death, adoption, marriage, and divorce, and it also responsible of determining citizenship status and issuing identification documents to eligible individuals.

Commenting on the contract, Infomina managing director Yee Chee Meng said it is honored to be selected by JPN.

“I would like to thank the Infomina team who had been servicing JPN all this while. Their high level of technical capability, coupled with the in-depth understanding and knowledge of JPN’s requirements, had enabled us to provide a comprehensive solution to JPN.

“This system represents a significant step forward in enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of vital services provided by JPN in supporting JPN’s plans on digitalization,” he said.
 
Yee said it eagerly anticipate a fruitful partnership with JPN, working together to further enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of their essential services.

“We look forward to a good and long-term working relationship with JPN as we continue to play our role in modernizing their core business’ information system. This SST (contract) continue to boost our order book further, which currently stands at approximately RM500 million after this,” he added.
