Pekat’s Entity Selected As Solar Power Producer By Energy Commission

Pekat Group Berhad’s (Pekat) entity, Pekat Solar Tronoh Sdn Bhd (PSTSB), and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pekat Teknologi Sdn Bhd entered into five Corporate Green Power Agreements (CGPA), as part of being selected as a solar power producer by Energy Commission (EC).

Pekat said it accepted letter of notification by its a wholly-owned subsidiary Pekat Teknology Sdn Bhd.

In a Bursa listing today (Nov 6), the company said, the agreements are with CTRM Aero Composites Sdn Bhd, HICOM Automotive Manufacturers (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, HICOM Diecastings Sdn Bhd, Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional Sdn Bhd and PHN Industry Sdn Bhd.

PSTSB is being selected under EC’s Corporate Green Power Programme.

“PSTSB is a special purpose vehicle incorporated to undertake the position of solar power producer. The solar plant is developed, designed, built, owned, operated, and maintained by PSTSB, and is located in Kinta, Perak.

“PSTSB shall achieve the commercial operation as required in the Corporate Green Power Programme guide not later than the year 2025, unless otherwise approved by EC,” it added.
