Visitors to Penang can now look forward to a new way enjoying the ferry ride with the new Penang Bridge Sunset Cruise offered by Penang Port Sdn. Bhd.
The state owned agency said the Penang Bridge Sunset Cruise was to maximise the ferry service, the cruise is offered in collaboration with SeaQueen Stephanie Yacht Club and provides packages that includes promotional activities, ticket sales, buffets and other activities that are deemed appropriate. The sunset cruise operation currently only available on Saturdays and Sundays from 5pm to 8pm. Tourists will depart from the Tun Raja Uda Base terminal near George Town to Penang Bridge and the ticket price offered is RM148 for adults while RM98 for children under 12 years old.
Penang Port CEO said “The experience offered to tourists is that they can see the beauty of Penang from the sea view in addition to having the opportunity to enjoy the view of the sunset while enjoying a buffet meal on the ferry. “In the future, we intend to extend the journey to Gurney Drive when the Gurney Bay project is completed,”, adding that the ferry can carry more than 100 people per trip.
