Malaysian Prodigy Lim Rui Hao Secures Admission To Cambridge’s Christ’s College

Lim Rui Hao, a graduate from Sunway International Schools (SIS), has achieved remarkable academic success, earning an almost-perfect score of 44 out of 45 in the 2023 International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) examination. His exceptional performance has not only solidified his status as the top achiever of his cohort but has also paved the way for him to secure admission into the prestigious Christ’s College at the University of Cambridge.

Lim’s admission into one of Cambridge’s esteemed colleges is a testament to his extraordinary dedication and academic excellence.

SIS Principal, Richard Cherry, expressed immense pride in Lim’s achievement, emphasising his consistent top performance over the years and his unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

Beyond excelling academically, Lim has demonstrated leadership and initiative in various extracurricular activities. He founded and led the IBDP Student Association, providing a platform for students to voice their concerns and access resources within the IB community.

Additionally, Lim has pursued his passion for photography, managing a website that has garnered significant attention and serving as the school’s photographer during events.

Lim’s success can be attributed to his diligent study habits and effective use of resources. He emphasised the importance of self-study, referencing past papers, and participating in group study sessions to exchange ideas with peers.

His well-rounded skills were further demonstrated when he clinched a distinction at the 2023 Euclid Mathematics Competition organised by the University of Waterloo.

With the highest score of 7 across all subjects in the IBDP examination, Lim’s achievements have brought pride and excitement to SIS.
