Terengganu’s Pelita Raya 2024 Expects 40,000 Visitors

The Terengganu State Tourism Department is expecting around 40,000 visitors to attend the Pelita Raya Terengganu 2024 (Peliter@TTI 2024) program at Taman Tamadun Islam.

The five-day event, themed “Tradisi Diwarisi, Comeynya Peliter Itu” (Inherited Traditions, Charming Peliter), began on March 17th, showcasing the concept of lighted oil lamps along the shoreline.

According to Director Ahmad Ridzwan Abdul Rahman, ten entries were received from eight district offices and two other organisations, with prizes totaling RM11,500. This annual tradition aims to promote diversity and attract the public through various themes and concepts.

Additionally, the department has organized a photo and video competition with RM2,500 in prizes, open to all visitors starting March 19th. Participants can upload their entries on Facebook or TikTok using specific hashtags.
