Seven Bank Ltd, the banking business of the 7-Eleven group, is planning to install around 100 original cash recycling machines in several suburban areas in Peninsular Malaysia this year after successfully installing the first machine in Rawang this month.
Seven Bank President and Representative Director Masaaki Matsuhashi said the provision of service is expected to benefit residents who have less banking function.
“We have established a new brand name, Reachful, as a strong start in Malaysia and a continued growth of our overseas business.
“By collaborating with our partner companies to deploy ATM services in 7-Eleven stores in Malaysia, we hope to enrich the lives of the Malaysian people and contribute to further social development and economic growth,” he said, adding that the company intends to expand the services to East Malaysia in 2026.
Since its first overseas ATM deployment in the US in 2017, Seven Bank expanded its business in the US, Indonesia and the Philippines with more than 21,000 ATM installations by 2024. Malaysia will be the fourth market outside of its home country, Japan.
