Colform Purchases Industrial Land In Pulau Indah For RM25.2 Million

East Malaysia-based Colform Group Bhd is expanding its footprint to Peninsular Malaysia with the acquisition of a 99-year leasehold industrial land in Pulau Indah Industrial Park (PIIP), Klang, for RM25.2 million.

The land purchase, made through its wholly owned subsidiary Colform Sdn Bhd, marks a key milestone in the group’s long-term strategy to strengthen its manufacturing base and broaden its national presence. The 29,595-sqm site will be developed into a new production facility and office complex, which will serve as Colform’s main operational hub in the central region.

Located within the established PIIP, the new site offers strong connectivity to Port Klang’s West Port and North Port, key expressways including KESAS and SKVE, and proximity to Kuala Lumpur International Airport and Subang Airport, positioning the group to enhance logistics efficiency and nationwide distribution.

Managing Director Kang Ket Hung said the acquisition represents a strategic step in Colform’s growth trajectory.

“This expansion will allow us to streamline logistics, improve cost efficiency and strengthen our delivery network to better serve customers across the country.

“Pulau Indah’s location offers exceptional accessibility and growth potential, making it ideal for our next phase of expansion,” he said.

He highlighted that the expansion comes as Malaysia’s construction sector continues to show strong recovery.

“According to the Department of Statistics Malaysia, the total value of construction work done rose 14.7% year-on-year to RM86.8 billion in the first half of 2025, with Peninsular Malaysia contributing RM71.8 billion, underscoring its continued dominance in the sector.

“We expect this momentum to sustain demand for steel and building materials, aligning with its core business. The group aims to capitalise on growing construction and infrastructure activity while diversifying its operations beyond its traditional East Malaysian base,” he said.
