AuMAS Resources Berhad (formerly known as Bahvest Resources Berhad) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Wullersdorf Resources Sdn. Bhd. (WRSB), has received the renewal of its Operational Mining Scheme (OMS) licence from the Department of Minerals and Geoscience Malaysia (JMG) in Sabah.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, AuMAS said the renewal confirms that the Bukit Mantri gold mining project operated by WRSB has met all required regulatory conditions, including the completion and approval of the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA).
“The granting of the OMS licence underscores the project’s compliance with national mining regulations and environmental standards,” the company said.
WRSB operates the Bukit Mantri gold mine in Sabah, which remains the company’s principal mining asset. The licence renewal ensures the continuation of mining operations under the supervision of JMG, Malaysia’s federal mining regulatory authority.
