LBS Marks 65 Years, Eyes Expansion With 10 New Property Projects In 2026

LBS Bina Group Bhd, one of Malaysia’s established property developers, marked its 65th anniversary at a Chinese New Year luncheon at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur.

The event, attended by the Sultan of Pahang HRH Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah and senior government officials, highlighted LBS’ growth trajectory and ongoing role in Malaysia’s property sector.

Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Ir (Dr) Lim Hock San, Group Executive Chairman of LBS, said, “Looking ahead, LBS views 2026 as a milestone year, with plans to launch 10 new projects across the Klang Valley, Johor, and Pahang.”

He added, “These initiatives reflect our continued commitment to delivering accessible and sustainable developments that meet the evolving needs of Malaysian families, while supporting the aspirations of a harmonious MADANI society.”

Founded in 1961 by the late Dato’ Sri Lim Bock Seng, LBS has grown from a local developer into a group managing multiple integrated townships and strategic retail and hospitality ventures.

Its current land banks and ongoing projects, including Bandar Saujana Putra, KITA @ Cybersouth, and LBS Alam Perdana, underpin the company’s strategy to combine residential growth with community development.

The company’s 65-year milestone coincides with a property market in Malaysia experiencing renewed investment and development activity.

By prioritising sustainable, community-focused projects, LBS aims to capture demand from middle-income and first-time homebuyers, while reinforcing its reputation as a people-centric developer.

LBS’ longevity and continued expansion plans demonstrate how long-established developers are leveraging scale, experience and integrated township models to navigate Malaysia’s evolving property landscape, balancing commercial growth with social impact.
