Malaysia has strongly condemned the Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia, particularly those targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure, while expressing solidarity with the kingdom amid escalating regional tensions.
In a statement, the Foreign Affairs Ministry said Malaysia supports Saudi Arabia’s efforts to safeguard its sovereignty, territorial integrity and the security of its population in accordance with the United Nations Charter and international law.
“Malaysia stands in solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and condemns in the strongest terms the Houthi attacks against the Kingdom, including those targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure,” the ministry said.
Malaysia also reiterated its support for all efforts aimed at de-escalating tensions and bringing about an immediate end to hostilities.
The ministry reaffirmed the importance of Malaysia’s longstanding bilateral relationship with Saudi Arabia, stressing its commitment to further strengthening cooperation for the mutual benefit of both countries.
Malaysia’s position underscores its support for regional stability and the protection of civilians while advocating a peaceful resolution to the ongoing hostilities.
