International Workplace Group (IWG) has launched Malaysia’s first Regus Express workspace at Crowne Plaza Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC), marking a new step in the expansion of hotel-integrated flexible workspaces in the country.
The new facility spans 148 square metres and is designed as a compact, hotel-based workspace for business travellers and professionals seeking mobility and convenience in Kuala Lumpur’s central business district.
Located along Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, the workspace sits within walking distance of MRT and LRT connections and is close to major commercial hubs, embassies, retail and dining areas as well as key landmarks including the Petronas Twin Towers and Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
The launch comes as demand for flexible working solutions continues to grow, with businesses increasingly shifting towards hybrid and capital-light office models. Industry forecasts suggest flexible workspaces could account for up to 30% of commercial real estate by 2030.
IWG said the opening follows a strong start to 2026, with the group recording its highest ever revenue, cash flow and earnings growth in the first quarter. The company added more than 382 new locations globally during the period and now operates more than 5,000 flexible workspaces across 120 countries.
In Malaysia, IWG currently runs 48 centres under its Regus, Spaces, HQ and Signature brands, with 36 located in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
IWG founder and chief executive Mark Dixon said Kuala Lumpur remains an important growth market for the group as demand for flexible workspace continues to rise.
“Kuala Lumpur is an excellent fit for our continued expansion in Malaysia, strengthening our presence in an established market and introducing the Regus Express brand. As demand continues to grow for more flexible, capital-light workspace solutions, we are well positioned to support businesses with greater choice, efficiency and access to high-quality workspaces through this latest opening,” he said.
IWG Country Head for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei Vijayakumar Tangarasan said the KLCC launch reflects a shift in corporate workspace needs.
“The KLCC area remains one of Kuala Lumpur’s most sought-after business districts, and this landmark launch allows us to meet the rapidly growing demand for flexible workspace solutions in an exceptionally connected and strategic location. As corporate Malaysia shifts away from traditional fixed office leases toward capital-light, agile strategies, businesses require premium spaces that match their pace. This collaboration with Crowne Plaza KLCC establishes a new benchmark for prime real estate utilisation, delivering a highly connected, productive environment that seamlessly blends core business functionality with luxury lifestyle amenities,” he said.
As part of the partnership, IWG members will also be able to access preferential rates on food and beverage, room bookings and banquet packages at Crowne Plaza KLCC through registration via the IHG application.
