Employees Provident Fund Board has increased its shareholding in Southern Cable Group Berhad after acquiring an additional 4.54 million shares in the cable manufacturer on June 15, 2026.
The Group said EPF acquired a total of 4,543,200 ordinary shares through several nominee accounts, raising its direct interest in the company.
The purchases comprised 1,993,000 shares held through Citigroup Nominees (Tempatan) Sdn Bhd Employees Provident FD BD (AMUNDI), 1,000,000 shares through Employees Provident FD BD (CIMB PRI), 300,000 shares through Employees Provident FD BD (ARIM), and 1,250,200 shares through Employees Provident FD BD (TEMPLETON).
Following the acquisition, EPF’s direct shareholding in Southern Cable Group increased to 106.01 million shares, representing a 9.28% stake in the company.
