Permodalan Nasional Berhad has disposed of 10 million ordinary shares in Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank), reducing its direct stake in Malaysia’s largest banking group.
According to a filing with Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, PNB sold the shares on June 24, 2026, through an open market transaction.
Following the disposal, PNB’s direct shareholding in Maybank fell to 762.33 million shares, representing a 6.303% stake.
Prior to the transaction, PNB held approximately 772.33 million Maybank shares.
