Developer Majestic Gen Appoints New CEO

Majestic Gen Sdn Bhd has reshaped its leadership structure as the property developer moves to support its next phase of expansion, succession planning and operational growth.

The group announced that Wong Yik Fong has been appointed Chief Executive Officer effective 1 July 2026. Dato’ Hoo Kim See will assume the role of Chairman and Director, while Ta Wee Dher has been named Group Managing Director.

The leadership changes follow the company’s rebranding in February 2024, when it refreshed its identity and introduced its CHARM principles, which stand for Customer-centric, Honesty, Ambitious, Resourceful and Magnificent.

Since then, Majestic Gen has expanded its development portfolio across residential, commercial and industrial segments, with the group having launched six projects with a combined gross development value of RM3.05 billion by end-2025, and is targeting four launches worth RM370.491 million in 2026.

Under the new structure, Dato’ Hoo will focus on board-level governance and long-term strategy, while Ta will drive business direction, including land acquisition, partnerships and development planning.

As CEO, Wong will oversee daily operations, project execution, sales performance and organisational management.

“Leadership succession means preparing the organisation for the future,” said Dato’ Hoo. “We must build a leadership structure that provides continuity while empowering the next generation.”

Ta said the group will focus on disciplined expansion and selective opportunities to strengthen its landbank and pipeline.

Wong, who has over two decades of experience in civil engineering and township development, previously held senior roles at Gamuda Land and Trinity.

“I am honoured to join Majestic Gen at an important point in its growth journey,” he said. “My priority will be strengthening execution, operational discipline and project delivery.”

Majestic Gen said the leadership realignment is aimed at improving clarity in governance, strategy and execution as it scales its property development business across Malaysia.
