Rohas Tecnic Berhad said the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has concluded its investigation into its subsidiary, HG Power Transmission Sdn Bhd with no further action to be taken.
RTB said HGPT received a letter from the MACC on July 3 confirming that the investigation had been completed and that no charges, prosecution or enforcement action would be taken against the company.
The anti-graft agency also confirmed that no further action would be taken against HGPT’s shareholders, directors and former directors in relation to the matter.
The latest development follows RTB’s announcement on June 26 that the MACC had revoked all seizure orders imposed on HGPT’s bank accounts, as well as the personal bank accounts of its current and former officers, under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001 (AMLA).
With the release of the bank accounts and the issuance of the no-further-action letter, the investigation has been formally concluded.
RTB said the conclusion of the investigation provides certainty for the company and its stakeholders, bringing the matter to a close.
