Microsoft will launch its latest Surface Pro and Surface Laptop in Malaysia on July 23, introducing a new generation of AI-powered personal computers built to handle demanding workloads with improved performance and longer battery life.
Early bird registration for the devices opens on Wednesday through selected authorised retailers ahead of the official release.
The new Surface lineup is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Plus and Snapdragon X2 Elite processors, enabling on-device artificial intelligence processing alongside cloud-based AI capabilities. Microsoft said the devices are designed for professionals, content creators and everyday users requiring advanced computing performance.
The new 13-inch Surface Pro features an optional OLED display and delivers up to 15.5 hours of battery life. It also includes a 1440p Quad HD ultrawide front-facing camera with automatic framing for video calls and supports the optional Surface Pro Flex Keyboard and Surface Slim Pen.
Meanwhile, the Surface Laptop will be available in 13.8-inch and 15-inch models, offering up to 20 hours and 19 hours of battery life respectively. Microsoft said the laptops deliver up to 58% better graphics performance than the previous generation and are designed for creative workloads, AI applications and multitasking.
The devices are equipped with dedicated neural processing units (NPUs) to accelerate AI tasks locally while allowing more intensive workloads to scale to the cloud. They also come with the Affinity creative software suite pinned to the Windows 11 Start menu and optimised for Surface hardware.
Prices for the new Surface range start from RM6,999 for the Surface Pro, RM7,399 for the 13.8-inch Surface Laptop and RM7,799 for the 15-inch Surface Laptop.
Customers who place orders between July 8 and July 22 will be eligible for retailer-specific early bird promotions. The devices will be available through authorised retailers including All IT Hypermarket, Harvey Norman, PC Image, Senheng, SNS Network and Thunder Match Technology.
