Hartanah Kenyalang Wins RM283 Million Contract To Build Wisma JKR Sarawak

Hartanah Kenyalang Berhad has secured its largest construction contract to date after its wholly owned subsidiary, Hartanah Construction Sdn Bhd, accepted a RM283.9 million contract from the Sarawak Public Works Department (JKR Sarawak) to build Wisma JKR Sarawak in Kuching.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia on Thursday, the construction and property group said the letter of award, dated July 9, covers the construction of the new Wisma JKR Sarawak building.

The 30-month project is scheduled to commence on July 23, 2026.

The award marks a significant milestone for Hartanah Construction, representing the largest contract secured by the subsidiary since its establishment.

The company said the contract is not expected to have any impact on its share capital or shareholding structure.

However, barring any unforeseen circumstances, the project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets for the financial year ending Oct. 31, 2026, and throughout the duration of the contract until its completion.

The latest contract strengthens Hartanah Kenyalang’s order book and enhances earnings visibility over the next two and a half years, while reinforcing its position in Sarawak’s public infrastructure construction sector.

The Wisma JKR Sarawak development forms part of the state’s ongoing efforts to enhance government infrastructure and public service facilities in Kuching.
