AMS Secures Licences To Launch Aluminium Scrap Business

AMS Advanced Material Bhd’s subsidiary, AMS Ecogreen Sdn Bhd, has secured all licences required to commence its aluminium scrap metal business, marking a key step in the company’s expansion into recycling and sustainable manufacturing.

The business will involve the collection, processing and sale of aluminium scrap materials at a facility in Johor, with an initial processing capacity of about 17 tonnes per month.

Managing Director Keh Teng Yang said the approvals represented another milestone in delivering the strategic initiatives outlined in AMS’ IPO prospectus.

He said the new operation would complement the company’s existing aluminium supply and processing activities while leveraging its established customer base and industry network.

Keh said the company expects the recycling business to capture rising demand for resource-efficient manufacturing and create an additional recurring revenue stream for AMS.
