GALERI PETRONAS Finds A New Home At Ombak KLCC

GALERI PETRONAS has relocated to Ombak KLCC, where it will begin a phased opening ahead of its full opening to the public by the end of 2027.

The gallery will kick off the transition with a “First Glimpse” experience, giving visitors an early look at its new premises as it prepares for the full opening.

Established in 1992, GALERI PETRONAS serves as a platform for the promotion, development and preservation of contemporary art in Malaysia, while providing space for Malaysian and international artists to showcase their work and engage with audiences.

Over the past three decades, the gallery has attracted nearly two million visitors through its exhibitions and public programmes. It is situated at Suria KLCC until the end of July.

According to PETRONAS, the new location will provide greater public access to the PETRONAS Art Collection, which has been built since 1993, while supporting exhibitions, collaborations and public programmes.

Its vice-president of Group Strategic Relations and Communications, Norafizal Mat Saad, said the relocation marked a new milestone for GALERI PETRONAS and its efforts to make contemporary art more accessible to a wider audience.

“At its new home, we look forward to creating an inspiring environment where art connects people, sparks conversations and continues to shape new perspectives for generations to come,” he said in a statement today.
