Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) will lead a group of 26 businesses to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, from 18 to 21 August 2026 to explore business opportunities and strengthen their presence in the Cambodian market.
The participating companies represent key sectors including food and beverages, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), automotive parts and components and lifestyle products. The mission provides Malaysian exporters with opportunities to engage potential buyers, importers and distributors, while gaining a better understanding of Cambodia’s market conditions and business environment.
The mission comes as Malaysia-Cambodia trade continues to expand. During the first half of 2026, bilateral trade between Malaysia and Cambodia increased by 51.1% to RM3.32 billion (USD833.2 million), compared with RM2.20 billion (USD501.4 million) recorded in the corresponding period in 2025.
Malaysia’s exports to Cambodia grew by 40.9% to RM2.45 billion (USD616.1 million), driven by petroleum products valued at RM941.4 million, manufactures of metal (RM453.1 million), textiles, apparel and footwear (RM237.2 million), chemicals and chemical products (RM199.5 million) and processed food (RM181.3 million).
