Golden Destinations Group Bhd is pressing ahead with its post-listing growth plans, including expansion into East Malaysia and Singapore, a new centralised headquarters, stronger brand-building efforts and upgrades to its IT infrastructure and workforce capabilities.
The outbound travel experience curator said the initiatives are aimed at strengthening operational efficiency, market positioning and supporting sustainable medium- to long-term growth.
For the first half ended June 30, 2026 (1H26), Golden Destinations recorded revenue of RM240.4 million and profit after tax (PAT) of RM8.34 million.
Second-quarter revenue stood at RM113.17 million, while PAT came in at RM0.28 million. Revenue was 11.1% lower quarter-on-quarter from RM127.24 million, reflecting softer sales of series travel packages amid geopolitical disruptions and the seasonally weaker second quarter.
Managing Director Mita Lim said the travel experience segment remained its largest contributor, generating RM165.47 million in 1H26, or about 68.8% of total revenue, while ticketing and other services contributed RM74.93 million.
“Travel demand continues to shift towards Asia-centric destinations, aligning with the group’s core market focus,” he added.
