Hextar Industries 1H26 PAT Falls 22.2% To RM7 Million Despite Quarterly Profit Nearly Doubling

Hextar Industries Bhd’s profit after tax (PAT) fell 22.2% to RM7 million for the first half of 2026 (1H26), despite a sharp rebound in the second quarter (2Q26) that saw quarterly PAT nearly double to RM13.4 million.

Revenue for 1H26 rose 18.5% to RM592 million from RM499 million a year earlier, supported by the rapid expansion of food and beverage outlets under its Consumer Division.

The weaker half-year bottomline contrasted with a strong 2Q26, where PAT surged 97.2% year-on-year to RM13.4 million from RM6.8 million, while revenue climbed 27.2% to RM357 million.

The quarterly improvement was driven mainly by the Fertilisers Division, which posted net profit of RM23.2 million, supported by higher average selling prices and increased delivery volumes amid tighter global fertiliser supply.

Hextar Industries’s consumer expansion also continued, with Luckin Coffee growing beyond the Klang Valley into Seremban and Johor Bahru. As at Aug 19, 2026, the group operated 139 outlets across Malaysia.

The group is also strengthening its engineering exposure after subsidiary Hextar Mitai Sdn Bhd secured a RM138 million EPC contract for industrial buildings in Pulau Indah, Selangor.

Group Managing Director Benny Ang said the strong quarterly performance reflected the resilience of the fertiliser business and the group’s ability to capitalise on favourable market conditions.
