Optimax Holdings Bhd’s profit after tax (PAT) slipped 6.3% to RM7.5 million for the first half of 2026 (1H26), from RM8 million a year earlier, despite higher revenue and a record quarterly performance in the second quarter (2Q26).
Revenue for 1H26 rose 5.5% to RM68 million from RM64.4 million, supported by stronger contributions from East Malaysia and Cambodia.
For 2Q26, Optimax posted its highest-ever quarterly revenue of RM37.4 million, up 9.6% year-on-year from RM34.1 million, while PAT came in at RM4.5 million.
The quarterly growth was driven by online marketing initiatives and stronger overseas operations, with revenue from East Malaysia rising 20.4% and Cambodia surging 404.3%.
Chief Executive Officer Sandy Tan said the group is seeing tangible benefits from its expansion strategy, particularly in Cambodia where patient demand continues to strengthen.
Optimax is also broadening its healthcare offering, having launched its first ENT clinic at Atria Mall in August 2026. The new service is expected to improve utilisation of its existing operating theatre infrastructure while creating an additional revenue stream.
Looking ahead, the group will continue strengthening its presence in East Malaysia and Cambodia while exploring complementary healthcare services to support further growth.
