Malaysia Airlines is gradually resuming flights to and from Jakarta following the resumption of operations at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport after disruption caused by volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau.
For today, Sept 8, four services are operating as scheduled, comprising MH717, MH716, MH721 and MH723 between Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta.
However, five services remain cancelled, namely MH713, MH712, MH711, MH710 and MH726.
The national carrier said it is closely monitoring the situation as airport operations recover and will communicate further updates directly to affected passengers.
Passengers are advised to ensure their contact details are updated through the ‘My Booking’ section on the Malaysia Airlines website to receive flight updates via email and SMS.
Customers can also contact Malaysia Airlines through its Live Chat service or Global Contact Centre.
The airline said the safety of passengers and crew remains its top priority.
