Binastra 1H26 PAT Jumps 73% To RM92.7 Million

Binastra Corporation Bhd’s profit after tax (PAT) jumped 73% to RM92.7 million for the six months ended July 31, 2026, from RM53.6 million a year earlier, as revenue nearly doubled to RM1.3 billion.

The stronger first-half performance was driven primarily by its construction segment, supported by the contribution from newly acquired subsidiary LF Lansen Sdn Bhd, expansion into solar installation projects and higher revenue from conventional construction and data centre jobs.

For the second quarter, Binastra recorded revenue of RM658.4 million, up 65.9% from RM396.8 million in the corresponding period last year. Quarterly PAT surged 90.1% to RM54 million from RM28.4 million.

The construction segment generated RM658.2 million in revenue and RM70.6 million in profit before tax during the quarter, compared with RM396.6 million and RM36.3 million respectively a year earlier.

Solar installation projects contributed RM97.4 million in revenue during the quarter, while conventional construction and data centre revenue increased by RM164.2 million to RM560.8 million.

Binastra said it secured a material letter of award worth RM500 million during the quarter for a proposed data centre development.

Its outstanding order book stood at about RM6.7 billion as at end-July, which the group expects to provide earnings visibility over the next four financial years.

The group said it remains positioned to benefit from demand for industrial facilities, logistics hubs and data centres, particularly in Johor and Selangor, while continuing to expand its presence in the data centre segment and integrate LF Lansen’s specialised engineering capabilities.

Binastra, however, cautioned that material price fluctuations, labour shortages, regulatory changes and geopolitical uncertainties could affect construction costs and project execution.

The board declared an interim dividend of four sen per ordinary share for the financial year ending Jan 31, 2027.

The entitlement date is Oct 5, with payment scheduled for Oct 16.
