Golden Goose has opened its first HAUS-inspired store in Malaysia at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, bringing its take on Italian craftsmanship and sneaker customisation to the city.
The 160-square-metre store takes its design cues from HAUS Marghera, the brand’s space in Venice. It combines industrial finishes with elements that reference the brand’s Italian roots, including a raw iron entrance door fitted with Murano glass handles.
Inside, the design shifts from industrial to more residential details. Wood finishes, soft lighting and bookcases filled with books and archival objects give the space a library-like feel. The store also includes Golden Goose’s Co-Creation area, where customers can work with the brand’s in-house Dream Makers to customise selected pieces.
The customisation options cover sneakers, ready-to-wear and accessories. Customers can add embellishments, crystals and hand-painted details, or alter the star on a pair of sneakers with materials such as leather, suede, glitter and pony hair. Distressing is also available.
For a more involved project, the store offers a Bespoke sneaker service. Customers can work with the Dream Makers to create a pair from scratch.
There is also a Con Amore corner dedicated to gifting. Inspired by traditional Italian flower shops, the space offers personalised wrapping using custom paper, ribbons and bows.
The Kuala Lumpur opening was marked by a gathering attended by fashion personalities and creatives including Christinna Kuan, Nia Atasha, Sky Iskandar, Jessica Chaw and Joe Shiang.
Beyond the store experience, the Pavilion Kuala Lumpur location carries Golden Goose’s latest men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, sneakers and accessories. The selection includes handbags, sunglasses and jewellery.
