Malaysia’s automotive calendar already has a date for next year. The Malaysia Autoshow 2027 will run from June 4 to 8 at MAEPS Serdang.
The five-day event will bring together carmakers, technology companies, industry players and consumers, with new vehicles and developments in automotive and mobility expected to feature across the show.
The 2027 edition was announced during a Malaysia Day gathering at MAEPS Serdang, where more than 230 vehicles came together for a Jalur Gemilang display. Owners from different motoring communities took part, with the vehicles arranged around the four colours of the Malaysian flag.
The gathering also offered a look at the wider car culture that the autoshow aims to engage. Participants included individual owners, clubs and enthusiasts from different vehicle segments rather than a single marque or community.
Boo Dickson, CEO of Moonman Events, which co-organises Malaysia Autoshow with the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), said grassroots automotive communities will continue to feature in the event.
Malaysia’s car scene has also attracted international attention, including a recent appearance in the latest season of The Grand Tour.
Ahead of the 2027 show, organisers are expected to announce participating brands, programmes and ticket information. A video featuring participants from the Malaysia Day gathering has also been released, with attendees sharing their expectations for next year’s event.
