The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) increased its stake in IOI Corporation Bhd after acquiring a net 4.3 million shares in the plantation group on Sept 29.
IOI Corp said the EPF acquired 6.3 million shares while disposing of 2 million shares through separate nominee accounts on the same day.
Following the transactions, the retirement fund’s direct interest in IOI Corp stood at 1.17 billion shares, representing 18.619% of the company’s voting shares.
The shareholding percentage was calculated based on 6.29 billion voting shares as at Sept 29, 2026.
The notice was dated Sept 30 and received by IOI Corp on Oct 2.
