Meridian Bhd has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, MIB Construction Sdn Bhd, has accepted a Letter of Award (LOA) worth RM40.5 million from Kejora Harta Bhd to undertake main building and associated works for a government housing project in Kedah.
The scope of works covers main building construction, demolition of existing structures, piling works, and external and infrastructure works for the Projek Perumahan Penjawat Awam Malaysia (PPAM) in Bandar Amanjaya, Kuala Muda.
The project, known as Phase 3, will see the development of 140 double-storey terrace houses.
The construction is expected to take 24 months to complete.
Meridian said the project is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings and net assets per share for the financial year ending 31 May 2026 and throughout the contract period.
