Silver Ridge Holdings Berhad (Silver Ridge) has announced the resignation of its Group Managing Director, Dato’ Khoo Yik Chou, effective 26 June 2026, as part of the company’s ongoing succession planning and leadership transition process.
In a Bursa Malaysia filing, the company said Dato’ Khoo’s resignation was to facilitate the transition of leadership within the Group. The company confirmed that there were no disagreements between Dato’ Khoo and the Board of Directors, and no matters arising from the resignation required shareholders’ attention.
Dato’ Khoo, 39, a Malaysian, had served as Silver Ridge’s Group Managing Director since 1 April 2024.
His journey with Silver Ridge began in October 2020 when he was appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director. He was subsequently redesignated as a Non-Independent and Non-Executive Director in December 2020, before returning to the role of Independent Non-Executive Director in October 2021.
He was redesignated as an Executive Director in October 2022, and later appointed as Executive Director cum Chief Financial Officer in December 2023, before assuming the Group Managing Director role.
Dato’ Khoo holds a Bachelor of Accounting from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), which he obtained in 2010. He started his professional career with KPMG as an audit associate before being promoted to audit assistant manager in 2014.
During his tenure with KPMG, he gained experience in internal and external audits across various industries, including manufacturing, retail and wholesale, construction, property development, investment, engineering, tourism and other sectors.
In 2014, he founded KYC & Associates, a professional services firm providing accounting, corporate secretarial, assurance, management consultancy and financial planning services.
He later established Total Coaching Sdn Bhd in 2015 and Total GS Taxation Sdn Bhd in 2016, with the latter operating as a licensed tax agent company.
Dato’ Khoo is also the founder and Managing Director of Total Group Berhad, which oversees the “TOTAL” group of companies.
He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Governance Professional, and holds professional memberships including Fellow Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA), Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and Member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM). He is also a licensed Tax Agent approved by the Ministry of Finance Malaysia.
As at the announcement date, Dato’ Khoo holds a direct interest of 70.57 million ordinary shares, representing approximately 17.21% of Silver Ridge, as well as an indirect interest of 8.84 million shares or approximately 2.16% through Total Group Berhad and Tote8ank International Sdn Bhd.
Silver Ridge said the company will continue to strengthen its leadership structure as part of its succession planning initiatives.
