Retirement Fund Inc (KWAP) disposed of 12 million shares in Petronas Gas Bhd worth over RM210 million through an off-market transaction on Sept 3, 2026, reducing its interest in the gas infrastructure company.
At the same time KWAP also indirectly acquired 16,600 Petronas Gas shares in the open market on the same day through its fund manager.
Following the transactions, KWAP held a direct interest of 183.11 million shares, equivalent to 9.254%, in Petronas Gas.
Its indirect or deemed interest stood at 5.62 million shares, or 0.284%, bringing its total interest to approximately 188.73 million shares, representing about 9.54% of Petronas Gas.
KWAP remains a substantial shareholder of Petronas Gas following the transactions.
